What shoes did you wear?



Hoka Speedgoat 5 with only 20k on the clock. They were a bit stiff and made me suffer for the first 25k. Lesson learnt…



What went well?



Listen to my body when it got hard especially with heavy breathing due to the altitude and slowed down to keep the heart rate under control.



What didn't work or went bad?



Ate a very average Kebab the night before which I think contributed to the nausea from 40k.



How did you overcome the challenge?



Switched up the calories and took in more solids which helped a little.



What was the best part of the event?



The landscape was epic. I’d never been to kosi when there wasn’t any snow so that was cool. The people were really nice too.



Did you celebrate?



Had to drive straight home afterwards which was a punish however went to a 18th party the following night and had a few bevs



What’s next?



Still thinking about what’s next. I have a LPS event in June but besides that nothing on the calendar

Lives in the Canadian rocky mountains for a few years, worked on a glacier, took up mountaineering and climbing..

Play guitar and drums, love signing even though I don't sound good haha
